Project Overview
Developed for a European smart-home brand, this Smart LED Downlight Series required seamless integration with major smart-home ecosystems. COLSHINE delivered the full process from industrial design and optical engineering to tooling and mass production, supporting both app and voice control.
Customer Challenge
The customer needed a downlight that worked reliably across different smart-home platforms, delivered smooth tunable-white light from warm to cool, and maintained a stable wireless connection in ceilings with weak signal — all within a tight BOM cost target.
Our Solution
Our R&D team redesigned the driver layout and antenna position, selected a high-CRI LED binning scheme, and built an automated production and aging-test line to guarantee batch consistency. The two product views below show the finished housing and internal structure.
